This Alaska expedition is all about adventure climbing in one of the wildest mountain ranges on Earth, Denali National Park. After the glacier plane departs, it will just be you/your guide, base camp, and wide open terrain with very little signs of life around. As IFMGA Mountain Guide Joseph Hobby says often, for us mere mortals, it’ll be the closest we’ll get to being astronauts and experiencing exploration. This trip will be ideal for experienced climbers looking to push deeper into the culmination of your climbing skillset, the Alaska Range offers technical ice, snow, and rock, along with extensive glacier travel.

This trip is completely tailored to your desire. We have the opportunity to climb classic objectives like Bacon and Eggs on the Mini Mini Moonflower or the Southwest Ridge of Peak 11,300, if building an alpine resume is your desire. Later in the season, we can target alpine rock climbing objectives in the Ruth or Pika glaciers. However, for more experienced climbers, this trip can be designed to go further into the fray by tackling new objectives and first ascents in remote areas such as the Kichatna Spires, Revelations, Hayes Range, or many other areas within the Range. Expect expedition-style logistics and the rare chance to step onto peaks and routes that may have never been climbed before.
