My favorite time of the year in Chamonix is the winter and spring. Alpine routes are abundant for testing your technical prowess and mental fortitude. Combining ski approaches and sometimes even ski descents this can feel like the full package. One day ascents like the Cosmique Arete, Chere Couloir, Fil a Plumb, or Vent du Dragon are incredibly enjoyable. Longer routes on the Verte in the Argentière or the many classics of Mont Blanc du Tacul await for your engagement.
